Iran’s Foreign Ministry Criticizes US Senate’s $14 Billion Israel Aid, Fears Escalation in Gaza
Tehran: Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, condemned the US Senate’s approval of a $14-billion aid package for Israel, asserting it would facilitate more Israeli actions in Gaza.
Kanaani, expressing his views on social media, criticized the decision, stating that American taxpayers’ funds would provide $100 million daily to Israel for what he characterized as the “killing of innocent Palestinian civilians.”
The bill, passed by the US Senate with a 70-29 vote, faces domestic opposition, particularly concerning the allocation of funds for weapons instead of addressing domestic needs. The bill’s fate remains uncertain, with conservative Republicans in the US House opposing it.
